Discover Begur… Spain's Costa Brava Gem

How to get there?

The easiest way to reach Begur is by car, about a 2-hour drive from Barcelona, though arriving early is advised as parking fills up fast on sunny days. Alternatively, you can take a train from Barcelona-Passeig de Gràcia to Flaçà, followed by a bus, or a Moventis bus directly from Barcelona to Begur, but both options require extra planning and early bookings to maximize your day.

What to do?

Upon arrival, you’ll spot kayak rentals and boat tours for those eager for water adventures, though we chose to relax instead. Find a spot on the beach, bring your own refreshments, or grab a drink from the nearby restaurant. For stunning views, follow the trail to the right, which leads to a secluded beach with an old port—a short hike that’s well worth it for the scenery alone.

Begur, a jewel of the Costa Brava, combines stunning Mediterranean coves with the charm of a timeless town. Picture crystal-clear waters, scenic medieval fortresses, and landscapes stretching to the horizon. Savor Catalan cuisine infused with the spirit of the land and sea—Begur is a truly captivating coastal escape.
